LICENSING :All Sun StorageTek Enterprise Backup Software (EBS) products are controlled by software licenses (enablers) tied to the host identification of the server where the license is to be registered. Some (but not all) EBS 7.x licenses are backwards-compatible and, therefore, can be used with older media. To find out specifically which licenses are backward compatible, please refer to the Release Notes for this product.

The Update to Sun StorageTek EBS 7 Enabler Code is required when updating from any prior releases (SBU 5.x/6.x or EBS 7.x) to EBS 7.3. The Update Enabler Code is available to customers with a current support contract only.
